This is the short answer:
The camera and lens you have chosen cannot be combined.
You cannot use this Canon EF-S on this Canon APS-C DSLR-camera. Canons first series of APS-C cameras do not support EF-S lenses.
No support for Canon EF-S lenses
This camera, Canon EOS 10D, does not support EF-S lenses and Canon EF-S 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM is such a lens. The technique that Canon introduced with EF-S, constructing lenses directly for the smaller APS-C sensors, came after the release of the camera and because of that it does not support EF-S and this lens.
